The Tree of Life – Shawna Edwards
You know something is good when you want to share it with those you love. We see this in other instances later on (Enos, Alma, Amulek, etc.)
I love that while Lehi and Nephi saw the same vision; the differences help provide a more complete picture. And even then, I’m sure they both struggled to find the right words to describe everything they saw. I know I have stared at my journal, wondering how to describe what I was feeling, or exactly what details of the day should be written.
Lehi’s focus, once he partook of the fruit, was to share the joy that filled his soul with those he loved. He wanted them to come to the tree.
And as I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy; wherefore, I began to be desirous that my family should partake of it also; for I knew that it was desirable above all other fruit.
1 Nephi 8:1250
